| It remains to bee seen where Merrell will play in college. He is a very explosive and destructive force off the edge, but he is also athletic enough that he could play OLB. He is aggressive and scrapes down the line. Despite, being aggressive he not usually over run a play. He is a very instinctive player. Uses his long arms to his advantage. | As a junior, Merrell recorded 98 tackles and 17 sacks on his way to being named first-team All-State at both defensive end and tight end. He was also named Lineman of the Year for the state of Delaware. |
