Jonathan Mitchell, a transfer from the University of Florida, began his Rutgers career with nine points and four rebounds last week against Marist. Coach Fred Hill was excited by his play, but said he expects and needs more from one of the Scarlet Knights' leaders. Rutgers guard Mike Rosario didn't have the best shooting day in Saturday's 74-67 win against Marist, but he scored 17 points and showed much better shot selection in the season opener. Rosario connected on 7 of 18 from the floor, including 2 of 10 from 3-point range. But the Scarlet Knights showed improved ball movement and a better flowing offense, and Rosario talked about it after the game.
