Rutgers quarterback Tom Savage played for the first time Saturday since sustaining a concussion three weeks ago. He continued his string of not turning the ball over, and afterward talked about his play, his need to slide more rather than absorb hits and also readying for the return to Big East play. Savage was a workmanlike 14 of 21 for 150 yards and a touchdown, and also had a 28-yard run.
