Rutgers Looking at Maryland Defensive End

Early in the recruiting process schools cast a wide net on prospects, and one of the players under Rutgers' watch is a defensive lineman from Maryland's Frederick County. He is 6-foot-2, 225 pounds and attended the Scarlet Knights' junior day last month. He also is hearing from several other Big East schools, as well as getting ACC interest.

Defensive end Sean Reaver had more than 60 tackles and eight sacks in leading Catoctin High (Thurmont, Md.) to its first state title, and several programs took notice of his playing ability. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Reaver is hearing from Rutgers, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and Connecticut. He is yet to receive an offer, but said "I think I might be close with West Virginia.''
