We need Everyone's assistance
Most, if not all, of the
Rutgers graduates and students would not like to see the name of our institution
changed. We can let our voice be heard.
Please contact your
state legislator and let her or she know on no uncertain terms that you disagree
with this action and it will effect your vote come election time. Below you
will find a link on how to find out your legislator contact information. Please

Announcement
Scarlet Walk
This evening at approximately 7:30PM, this week's recruits will be doing their
first of hopefully many Scarlet Walks. For those that are not familiar with
the Scarlet Walk, it is a pre-game tradition where the members of the Rutgers
Football team walk from Sutphen Road and touch the statue that represents
the first football game, then go to the locker room.
Those who would like to
provide the recruits with a Rutgers welcome with a cheer of "Rutgers
wants you" are welcome to attend.

Around the Big East
The Maxwell Award sat
in a corner of Ken Dorsey's house for six months, collecting dust and taking
up space next to the cat's litter box. Dorsey didn't even care.
His roommate, Brett Romberg, decided to clean it up and display it prominently
in the living room with many of Dorsey's other trophies. Dorsey didn't even
help.
A few weeks ago, the cat knocked the Maxwell Award to the ground and snapped
it at the base, prompting Romberg to glue it back together. Dorsey didn't
even notice.

Around the Nation
A majority of Heisman
Trophy voters did their homework, hanging onto their ballots through last
weekend and the last of college football's 700-plus games. Where it led them
is anyone's guess.
Heisman
suspense envelops fivesome
LeBron James didn't try
to put on a one-man show. He did anyway.
Displaying his awesome skills to a national TV audience for the first time,
America's best high school basketball player showed he's equal to all the
incredible hype.
Now everyone knows. LeBron James isn't a myth, glossy magazine cover or urban
legend. He's the real deal.
LeBron's
a hit in TV debut
Poor Larry Johnson. He
thinks nobody loves him.
This season, Penn State's outspoken senior running back eclipsed Lydell Mitchell's
31-year-old, single-season record with 2,015 yards rushing. He scored 23 touchdowns
— 20 on the ground — and set an NCAA record by averaging 8.03yards
per carry. The way he talks, the Heisman Trophy voters would be crazy to resist
him when the award is presented tomorrow night at the Yale Club.
