Video Interview: Tim "Duce" Brown

Tim Brown burst on to the national recruiting scene at the Rutgers High School Camp at Miami's Edison Senior High and followed that impressive performance by showcasing speed many in NJ had not seen. RU fans eagerly awaited his arrival and toward the tail end of his Fr. campaign they became first-hand witnesses, as did the rest of the Big East, of Brown's agility, and downright nasty speed.

Tim Brown (aka Duce) arrived at Rutgers with much anticipation. His sub-4.3 second 40-yard dash time at Rutgers Stadium, during the Greg Schiano Football camp four years ago, is the fastest time that Schiano has ever timed himself.

Duce burst onto the national scene with outstanding performances versus then-#15 West Virginia, recording the longest play from scrimmage of the 2006 season (72-yard pass play from RU QB Mike Teel), and a pair of touchdown scores in Rutgers' first ever Bowl win against Kansas State, in the inaugural Texas Bowl.

After playing in 11 of RU's 13 games during 2006, Duce suffered a fracture in his left wrist during pre-season camp, and though he participated in 12 games, Brown was not 100% for most, if not the entire season.

"I'm just going out and working hard every day and just grinding it, and just doing what I do and playing football, the game that I love," stated Duce in reference to expectations for the upcoming season.
