I got offered by Rutgers this weekend at the Junior Day. Then on Monday
I got offers in the mail from Miami, Maryland and East Carolina.
The Junior Day seemed to be a positive experience for Isaac Holmes. I
went down to Rutgers for the Junior Day this weekend and the trip was awesome.
Everything went really well. The place and the coaches really gave off a great
vibe. It was also a good feeling to get that first offer in. I went down with
my mom and dad. When my mom realized I had gotten the offer, she became very
emotional. It was a great feeling.
Isaac also checked out the Junior Day with his teammate Michael Douglass. Mike
had a real good time down there. He is a player and will get some good looks.
I think he is close to getting his first offer. I think Rutgers or Maryland
is close to offering.
One of Holmes teammates, Bernardo Nunez, also visited Rutgers, but attended
their first Junior Day. Bernardo has a lot of schools on his radar, but
I think he is looking at Rutgers real hard. He really had a good feeling down
there.
Isaac is also excited about the Maryland and Miami offers. My cousin Bearthur Johnson plays at Maryland and he loves it down there. He has been working out
real hard. He came in weighing close to 390 and is down to 350 now. He tells
me it is a great place and he really wants me to check it out, so Ill
definitely get down there soon. Miami is also a top school and I am really thrilled
about that offer. We are going to try to get down there and check things out.
Another relative of Isaac is playing at South Bend, and that is another scheduled
trip. My cousin Duval Kumara is really enjoying his time out at Notre Dame. He finds it a great experience. I want to go visit him and also check
out the football program out there.
Isaac is going to spend the off-season working out and attending combines/ My
strengths are my power, explosiveness and quickness. I am just trying to get
better at those aspects of the game. I am working out really hard and hoping
to have a big senior season. We have a chance to do big things in Hudson County
this year.
In terms of his recruitment, Isaac says he is wide open. It is an honor
to be able to check out all these great schools and see what the best place
for me is. I plan on visiting a lot of places.
