The Rutgers men's basketball team will host BIG EAST foe Georgetown on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Louis Brown Athletic Center. The game will be televised on FSN.

The Scarlet Knights (8-9, 1-3 BIG EAST) are coming off a 60-37 loss to DePaul on Saturday, Jan. 13. Sophomore forward JR Inman (Pomona, N.Y.) was the lone Rutgers player to score in double digits with 10 points. Senior forward Adrian Hill (Canton, Ohio) added eight points and senior swingman Marquis Webb (Paterson, N.J.) chipped in seven points. Freshman center Hamady N'diaye (Dakar, Senegal) came off the bench to grab a career-high eight rebounds and also blocked three shots.

Inman leads the team in scoring with 12.3 points per game and is also first in rebounding with 7.6 boards per contest, a mark good enough for eighth in the BIG EAST Conference. Webb and sophomore swingman Jaron Griffin (Manchester, N.J.) are averaging 9.9 and 9.1 points per game, respectively. Sophomore guard Anthony Farmer (Millville, N.J.) is third on the team in scoring (8.6 ppg.) and first in assists with 3.0 per game. Hill is second on the team with 5.9 rebounds and fifth in scoring with an 8.6 points-per-game average.

Georgetown enters Wednesday's game with an 11-5 overall record, and a 1-2 mark in the BIG EAST. The Hoyas are coming off a 74-69 loss to No. 7 Pittsburgh on Jan. 13. Junior forward Jeff Green, one of three players scoring in double figures, leads the team with 11.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Junior center Roy Hibbert is the team's second-leading scorer with 11.6 points per game, while Jonathan Wallace, a junior guard, chips in 11.1 points per game.

Rutgers and Georgetown will meet for the 37th time in history with the Hoyas leading the head-to-head series 21-15, including wins in the last four match-ups. In the most recent contest between the two schools, Georgetown earned a 66-50 victory at the Verizon Center (formerly the MCI Center) on Feb. 22, 2006.

Following the match-up with Georgetown, the Scarlet Knights will embark on a two-game road trip, taking on Providence (Jan. 20) and South Florida (Jan. 24).
