Cablevision
Cablevision will carry the NFL Network on its digital tier, a supplemental
service that is received by many customers, for the week. It also will carry the
Texas Bowl on its widely available basic tier.
Comcast
Comcast will allow customers with basic cable to have free use for 30 days of
a digital box and access to its Digital Plus service. The Texas Bowl will air on
Comcast on digital cable, which roughly 60 percent of its customers already have
in New Jersey.
The digital boxes are available at more than 40 Comcast outlets in New
Jersey.
Patriot Media
The Texas Bowl will be available to all Patriot Media customers who subscribe
to the digital basic tier. The NFL Network is channel 124 for Central New
Jersey, Patriot Media subscribers, and channel 126 for Princeton area
subscribers.
Time Warner
The NFL network accepted Time Warner's offer to make a "freeview'' available
from December 24th-to-30th to customers who subscribe to the cable TV operator's
digital basic tier. Time Warner confirmed that 75 percent of its New York-area
customers receive that particular service.
