Anthony Davis might look the part of a menacing individual, but for those that have gotten to know the immense and impressively athletic senior lineman, big teddy bear may be the more apropo description. The 6-foot-6 giant of a human being had a big night on tap this past Friday evening.
Should you ask him, the bigger event was his squad's divisional contest versus previously unbeaten Sayreville HS (4-0), the same team that defeated the Chiefs a year earlier. That's not to say that Davis isn't appreciative of the personal accolades, including the biggest of them all: being named a U.S. Army All-American. It's certainly an honor and a privelege, but the Garden State's top overall prospect insists on remaining focused on the current task at hand - ensuring his Chiefs continue their winning ways.
Nevertheless, for a brief few minutes, Anthony Davis became the center of attention prior to Piscataway HS's home contest as he was officially named one of the 80 best players in the country.
