Rutgers football coach
Greg Schiano is quickly finding that getting the top New Jersey high school
players to stay home is only half the battle.
Keeping them is the other half -- and one that's becoming just as difficult
to win.
Three months after heralded running back Rikki Cook decided to transfer out
of Rutgers following his freshman year, talented linebacker Brad Cunningham,
who started four games as a true freshman last fall, said yesterday he will
not be returning to school. He informed Schiano of his decision this week.

High School - All-Stars
completing his junior
year of high school, lineman Daniel Legiec was told by Governor Livingston
football coach Joe Hubert that his chances to play college ball were "right
in front of him." Legiec didn't need to be told again. Legiec had a summer
of solid workouts, then reaped the dividends of his sweat during an outstanding
season.
Tonight, Legiec will play in the annual North-South High School All-Star Football
Game at Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway. Game-time is 7:00.

Fans Comment
i made a comment about
the new site and it wasn't all positive. its starting to grow on me. a definite
upgrade on the new site is the message boards. i know you published comments
from the old faithful on the old site but the having the ability to converse
with others on the message boards gives a sense of family and feedback that
the old site couldn't offer. get the message out there that there are many
topics to discuss from current coaches and players to recruiting updates and
what we the fans think the teams strengths and weaknesses are for the upcoming
season. people chime in, its our site. dont be bashful, your feedback enlightens
us all. keep up the good work guys.
