As Rutgers looks to capitalize on their first bowl bid in 27 years, they begin
the December visits by hosting six high school standouts. Please see the list
of prospects below:
Shamar Graves - a 3-star prospect with close
to 20 offers from schools like Iowa, Kentucky,
Syracuse, Wisconsin,
Nebraska, Rutgers, Connecticut,
West Virginia, and Notre
Dame. On the college level, he can play either WR or LB. Rutgers is recruiting
him as a WR, where he has star potential. The departure of Tres
Moses and Chris Baker might provide him
with early playing time.
Matt Hardison -a 2 star prospect, who has
played a variety of positions in high school. Once he has the chance to focus
on one position, his athleticism and speed should make him a standout performer.
Rutgers is likely recruiting him as a DE which is a position of need with the
graduation of Ryan Neill. He is coached by
former Rutgers standout Rashard Swinger.
Jetavious Best - Last year, he signed with
West Virginia. However, academic issues
resulted in him enrolling in prep school. Since West Virginia is limited on
scholarships, Best has reopened his recruitment. He will be visiting Rutgers
for the second time in as many years.
Garrett Brown - DTs are held at a premium
and this 2-star prospect is among the best in the Metro area. He fits the mold
of many of the DTs that the Scarlet Knights have recruited in the past two years
- a strong player with good leverage and speed.
Craig Stevens - One of the most heavily recruited
LBs in the state of Florida. This 3-star
LB lists offers from Alabama, Tennessee,
and UCLA. His size and speed might enable
him to play as a true freshman.
Ryan D'Imperio - Another multiple position
standout - FB or LB. This 3-star prospect is likely being recruited as a MLB
by the Scarlet Knights. He has been favoring the Knights for sometime and a
commitment might be imminent.
