High school teams are entering play-offs and recruits are scheduling official visits. Cook has several schools on his list.
"I am going to take all my official visits before I make a decision," Cook said. "Everything is really tight right now. I am wide open. The main schools I am looking at are N.C. State, South Carolina, Rutgers, Ole Miss, Miami, Wake Forest, Arizona State and Minnesota. Miami is the only school out of that group who has not offered me."
When asked of his official visits, Cook replied, "I am going on an official visit to Rutgers December 9. I am really looking forward to it. I spoke to Coach Rizzi last night. He is a real cool coach. He is laid back. He acts like he is still young and still has it in him."
Cook has been impressed with Rutgers from the beginning of the recruiting process and said, "I think Rutgers has a great education program. Their football program is getting a lot better. I think I could have an instant impact once I got there. They are recruiting me as an outside linebacker."
Scout.com's three-star linebacker knows what he is seeking in his college choice and shared what keys aspects will help determine his decision.
"The main factors for me will be how much I like the environment," he said. "I want to have a good relationship with the coaching staff and the players. Distance will not play a factor at all in my decision."
