Latest on 4-star DT Holley

Thomas Holley has the latest on the recruitment of Brooklyn Abraham Lincoln four-star defensive tackle Thomas Holley.

Brooklyn Abraham Lincoln four-star defensive tackle Thomas Holley's next official visit is set for Nov. 30 to Florida, and Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame and Syracuse all remain in contention, his uncle said Thursday.

Scott Benjamin, who has been helping Holley with the process from its beginning, said decisions on whether to make official visits to Notre Dame and Syracuse will be made at a later date.

"Right now, we're tentatively set to go to Florida for the Florida State game," Benjamin said. "He is still deciding whether or not to make an official visit to Notre Dame. (The same) with Syracuse."

Holley already made official visits to Ohio State and Penn State last month.

Although there has been talk of Ohio State dropping Holley, Benjamin and Lincoln coach Shawn O'Connor said they didn't think that was the case, and pointed to the fact Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer and offensive line coach Ed Warinner, who recruits New York, were at the school Monday.

Holley is slated to play in the Under Armour All-American Bowl in early January.

"A decision could be after that," Benjamin said. "Right now (Holley) is focused on the season."

Lincoln begins the PSAL playoffs Saturday, and the Railsplitters (9-0) are favored to reach the title game Dec. 10 at Yankee Stadium. The lone off weekend would be Nov. 30, which is when Holley and his family would visit Florida. Recommended Stories
