PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers sophomore receiver Leonte Carroo is off to a fast start in his second training camp with the program. After a freshman year spent with the special teams unit, the former Don Bosco Prep superstar can expect a more significant role at the line of scrimmage.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Spectacular catches are not a rarity before the pads go on in training camp, but the amount made by Leonte Carroo through two days of training camp are.

Getting a stronger look at receiver as a sophomore, Carroo projects to push hard for a starting spot and will have an expanded role on the offense. Carroo played as a true freshman, where he is best remembered for a punt block against Temple, but wants to earn playing time at the line of scrimmage by excelling in camp with quarterback, and high school teammate, Gary Nova.
