Rutgers shot off its recruiting fireworks a month early this year with 11 combined commitments in football and basketball during June. ScarletReport.com reviews the firework timeline of 11 June additions to the Scarlet Knights.

Coaches Kyle Flood and Eddie Jordan had big June performances on the recruiting trail, adding a combined 11 commitments. In an explosive month, ScarletReport.com reviews the sparks that flew in a timeline format.

June 14

G Jerome Seagears -- Seagears returned to the Rutgers program after receiving his release from Auburn. The combo guard started the majority of his first two seasons at Rutgers and projects to do the same this fall alongside Myles Mack.

"I'm looking to finish strong just with everybody still here. Most definitely, I think we're going to see a good outcome of this. We faced a lot of adversity with everything that went on and I think that it's a big opportunity for all of us with coach Eddie Jordan."

TE George Behr -- The biggest stretch of the "state of Rutgers," the Minnesota tight end committed to Rutgers after impressing the week prior at camp. Rutgers was his first offer and Behr was happy to jump on it.

"I really liked their coaching staff. When I visited a couple Fridays ago they were very supportive of me and they showed a lot of interest in me. What they do with their offense and how they use their tight ends totally caught my eye. I'm a fan of that and I thought it was the right fit for me."

RB Robert Martin -- It did not take long for the talented three-star halfback to commit to Rutgers after returning home from his West Virginia visit. Martin chose the Scarlet Knights over the Mountaineers and Pittsburgh.

"They've been recruiting me since day one, hard. It's really good to be going to play for [the Rutgers coaches]. They're really good guys and they bring out a family atmosphere. I can fit into their system and they've been telling me that since day one."

June 15

TE Logan Lister -- Lister made his "soft verbal" the day after Behr's commitment to lock up his spot in the class prior to a visit.

"Honestly the only thing that was holding me back was not being there on a visit yet, but I expect to really see everything I need to see and feel great about it. I'm excited to visit and see what a great place Rutgers is."

June 19

OLB Branden Russell -- Russell earned an offer from Flood and committed on the spot during an unofficial visit to campus. Russell transferred to University School last year and is set to take over Skai Moore's role in the U School defense after Moore enrolled at South Carolina over Rutgers.

"The coaches are very honest with me from the start, showing me love. It's a great coaching staff. I feel very comfortable with them."

June 20

DE Donald Bedell -- Bedell earned an offer after the Big Man Academy and committed the day after bringing his family to campus for an unofficial visit.

"It's the great mix of academics as well as a great football program. I like all the coaches there. They're all great guys. They're joining the Big Ten, which is huge, not only for the school, but for the team."

PF Dwayne Foreman -- Foreman committed to Jordan on an unofficial visit. Orginally a local prospect that spent time at Don Bosco Prep, Foreman will finish his high school education in military school before enrolling at Rutgers in 2014.

"I feel great because I feel like I'm a part of the family now. Ever since I talked to Eddie Jordan and the coaching staff, I knew it was the place for me."

FB Jacob Kraut -- Rutgers added a fullback to the 2014 class with Kraut's commitment during an unofficial visit. Kraut credited offensive coordinator Ron Prince's offense as a major drawing point.

"It was seeing how strongly they felt about my potential as a player and my potential as someone in their offense that they'd actually use. They have competition. I have to beat guys out and to work for playing time and success. I feel like I'll be utilized in the right ways."

June 21

TE Logan Lister -- Lister solidified his commitment on an unofficial visit with his family.

"It was really good to see the campus, tour the facilities. It definitely sealed the deal in what I'm looking for in a college."

June 26

WR Adonis Jennings -- Jennings marked a major camp commitment. He entered Rutgers camp with no thoughts of a commitment but left Flood's office ready to end his recruitment three days later.

"had a good feeling about Rutgers, and then I had a meeting with coach Flood. I wasn't thinking about it when I was in the office, but when I left, it really hit me that was where I want to be."

June 28

DL Jimmy Hogan -- From Greg Schiano's and Tim Pernettis Ramapo High, Hogan will be asked to add weight and come in as a defensive tackle.

"I went down to make sure it was the choice I wanted to make. The other colleges that offered me were really great, but always felt Rutgers was No. 1 and that I always wanted to go there. They were always so welcoming and I always felt comfortable there."

S Kiy Hester -- Hester is the highest rated commitment since Darius Hamilton and served as a grand finale in a June filled with fireworks.

"I knew I wanted to go to Rutgers a little after Justin Nelson committed. We have been close since sophomore year. I was the first person he called to let me know he committed. They offered me freshman year and offered Davon Jacobs, and he is there and he always tells me how great it is, and I've been playing with him since we were kids."
