TV: Rice Previews Providence Publisher
Posted Feb 22, 2013

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers basketball coach Mike Rice had the better part of a week to tweak the game plan with Elijah Carter out. Hosting Providence tomorrow night at the RAC, Rice discussed the changes that need to take place to remain competitive without Carter.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Mike Rice needs to find a way to limit the minutes of Jerome Seagears and Myles Mack and using Dane Miller as a point forward could be part of the strategy tomorrow night against Providence.

Rice said Seagears and Mack cannot keep pushing 40 minutes per night to compete and will be more conscious of it against the Friars. Facing what Rice considers one of the top back courts in the Big East, the Scarlet Knights (13-12, 4-10) have a tall task while looking to avoid a slip to .500 on the season.
