PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Kyle Flood became the first coach in Rutgers history to start his career 6-0 after the No. 19/20 Scarlet Knights beat Syracuse 23-15 Saturday at High Point Solutions Stadium, and afterward he spoke about the win.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- No. 19/20 Rutgers won the turnover battle 4-0, which helped offset an offensive performance in which Rutgers managed 237 yards of offense in a 23-15 win against Syracuse on Saturday at High Points Solutions Stadium.

Gary Nova was 14 of 23 for 152 yards and a score and the running game netted 85 yards on 36 carries.

Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib was 25 of 42 for 356 yards, but also threw two touchdowns and was sacked three times in the loss.

Afterward, coach Kyle Flood spoke about becoming the first coach in school history to begin his career 6-0.
