SR.com TV: Specialists to Highlight Scrimmage

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Kyle Federico and Justin Doerner are set as the kicker and punter for Rutgers this season, but many special teams roles remain undefined. Heading into the final camp scrimmage, ScarletReport.com spoke with both about their developments during training camp and special teams roles under first-year coach Joe Rossi.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Special teams won multiple games for Rutgers under the direction of Robb Smith and the reins are now passed to Joe Rossi, who was hired by coach Kyle Flood in February.

Taking a backseat in the first two scrimmages, special teams will be a huge part of tomorrow afternoon's scrimmage, with field position and the return game factoring in.

Freshman Kyle Federico and senior Justin Doerner are set at kicker and punter respectively. Both went 1-on-1 with ScarletReport.com during the week to discuss the development in training camp.
