Goodwin Commits to Rutgers

Rutgers received a verbal commitment today from Madison (N.J.) athlete Justin Goodwin. Goodwin is second solid verbal commitment to the Scarlet Knights this season.

Madison (N.J.) Boro High athlete Justin Goodwin offered his verbal commitment to Rutgers today. The talented athlete had interest from multiple BCS programs, but received an offer from Rutgers earlier this year and made his decision this afternoon.

Goodwin joins Dayton (N.J.) athlete Anthony Cioffi as a solid verbal commitment to Rutgers in the Class of 2013.

As a junior, Goodwin 1,789 yards and 29 touchdowns in just 133 touches. He also returned 10 kicks for 478 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 15.9 yards per touch on the season.

Goodwin was being recruited as an athlete but projects as a running back for the Scarlet Knights.
