PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Junior defensive end Jamil Merrell received some of the loudest cheers of the spring game with his ability to get into the backfield and make tackles.
Merrell, who started multiple games last season, projects as a major part of the defensive line rotation this year and was one of many Rutgers linemen to receive praise from coach Kyle Flood for strong springs.
